Shoot That Shug : Me as a model #3

I want to go more natural for the next pictures I will pose for, it seems like I want as a model to make more moody, touching pictures. The photographer that made me understand it is Marco Trinchillo.

Who ? Marco Trinchillo

Wanted. " The project [...] only consists in doing people's portraits in their house to make them look the more natural possible. I want no make-up, no hairstyle, I really want nothing superfluous." These are the words Marco used to describe what he wanted.

Feeling. Actually, on my Tumblr I've already spoken about Marco. I think I am longing to be photographed by him again, but it seems difficult because it looks like that he is taking a (very long) photographic hiatus. I can only hope that he decides to shoot again !

This picture was taken in my room, where I sleep, spend hours on the internet, read, study and think over and over. I am wearing what I usually wear when at home. My hair are a mess, I didn't take time to give them a good afro shape. Actually I am mostly like this on Sunday (ok let's be honest as soon as I go back home..), on my bed reading books or surfing on the internet.
I remember that when Marco came I was reading two books. One for my studies, History of the Cold War, and one for my pleasure, Gypsy. So these books really embody who I am in real life : a student and a person with a very bad habit which is curiosity, be it about Asia, Africa, burlesque, cinema etc..when I'm obssessed with something I have to dig for it and at that time I was obssessed with the burlesque performer Gypsy Rose Lee, that is why her autobiography was on my bed.

These books were not put there for the show, there were already both on my bed when Marco arrived. My room was a little bit messy (as I am a messy person..)but Marco said it was perfect like that because the picture will reflect even more who I am.

I really like this picture because for once I participated not only as a model but also as a photographer. See what I have in my hand ? It is actually the trigger of Marco's camera. So in one word this picture is an autoportrait. I like that it is visible on the picture. This picture is part of my favourite ones because it is kind of misleading because I am the photographer but at the same time I am not as it was Marco to set everything on the camera.
Eventhough I don't think I look my best on this picture I still love it because it is me, my real self and I think that it is really rare to look this natural when you know you are being photographed.
