Galerie Lafayette FNO

In order to celebrate the Fashion Weeks that are following one another in the biggest capitals of Fashion (New York, Londron, Paris and Milano), the Galeries Lafayette department store organised a kind of GL-FNO (a Galeries Lafayette-Fashion Night Out) in several of its stores in France. Were invited clothing and accessories lovers, fashion and style admirers. Were planned Fashion showmake-up standshooting spot and free cocktails. I was there to witness this event quite unusual outside the Paris area. As expected, it was the convergence point for the cities' fashion lovers.

It was first the occasion for me to take a look at the different brands' collections in the store.

The Kooples

A Saleswoman whose shoes and bow I love

Peter Pan collar and matching skirt

Several fashion shows were organised. But first, we could watch the models  go through hair and make-up on the 3rd floor.

The male model wears a jacket from chinese inspiration chinoise
The female model wears a Desigual by Lacroix jacket

Then, the models were escorted to the 1st floor were the red carpet had been installed by way of runaway. A slight lack of organisation is perceptible, the catwalks aren't all perfect and the outfits aren't all tremendous but everybody wants to see the models and so do I. It's not everyday that you can attend that kind of event !

 Maje outfit

If the models had pride of place, some had also taken advantage of the occasion to dress up even more than usual. I selected for you the outfits of the night:

My attention was caught by her clutch bag and her shoes.

Three great outfits, especially the one on the left

Marion
I love Marion's rock outfit softened by the hat. She chose the burgundy color, very trendy for this fall and leopard mocassins.

"THE KOOPLE"
When I saw them, I immediatly thought of one of those perfect couples on The Kooples commercial pictures. He wears a great sand suede shirt on a printed white T-shirt. She wears one of these bi-material tops  that i've been dreaming of for so long. She made hers herself though (awesome !).

Obviously, it wasn't as great as a FNO in NYC, LA or Paris but we still salute  the Galeries Lafayette's initiative in favor of style and fashion. Of course, they didn't plan a 1 000€ bar tab for each store in free cocktails and champagne just for charity but it was for their communication strategy. In spite of that, we appreciate the effort that allowed us to have an inovative and fun night when usually "it all happens in Paris" like we're used to say outside of the capital city.
