This chair was made out of the sketches my father drew. He offered it to me when I was 10 years-old which explains its size: usually they are way bigger. But back then, that chair seemed huge to me. It felt like sitting on a throne.
I love my maxi skirt and I thought it would match really well with this object from my childhood.
Of course, this outfit is not appropriate for the season, but usually, when the new years comes, I start longing for the sunny days.

Top: H&M
Maxi skirt: bought in Camden Town, London
Pumps: Asos
Inspirations:
Rattin chairs come from South-East Asia. They became really famous in France after the release of the cult french erotic movie "Emmanuelle". And that is why we are used to call them "Emmanuelle-like chairs" ("fauteuil Emmanuelle" in french)
The enigmatic character from Hugo Pratt's comic Corto Maltese, Gold Mouth, also has her queen throne: a gigantic Emmanuelle-like chair, the perfect chair of femininity.

The skirt is wonderful, the colour fits you perfectly. It's nice to have such a nice chilhood's memento, much more if it's hand made & designer by your father. Hope all The Ladies of Incognito a great start of 2012, happy new year!
