Lace Funk

A staircase, a vintage leather jacket and a vintage lace skirt turned into a dress and I'm back from the past. VoilĂ  !

Vintage leather jacket bought in a thrift shop in Bordeaux (Docks Caviar), lace maxi skirt bought on ebay, Calzedonia tights, DIY earrings.

Inspirations :

Singer Ayo, I love her style, she knows how to mix bohemian pieces for a look coming right from the 70's

Erykah Badu's hair is just tremendous. This picture reminds me of my hair a year go and I feel like I shouldn't have cut them.

These two last pictures may seem irrelevant but the skirt i am wearing is actually a part of an ensemble from the 20th century that looks just like those you can see on the pictures. On seeing it on ebay, I knew i had to buy it. The lace is beautiful. It took me 5 months to figure out how to modernize it, what do you think of the result ?

Rendez-vous sur Hellocoton !

  1. nice! x

p.s. I'm having a giveaway from This Is Transition if you'd like to check it out. :)

  2. I just did a post on white lace.. stating that it may never be out of fashion.. like that piece you own from years ago, it was hot then and it is still hot now.. I think you look fab, your hair is awesome! I've always wanted to have big curly hair like Pam Grier or those girls in the first photos...
..about my post of Frida, thanks so much for your response, I'm glad you learned something about her, I adore her and her life is really an outstanding thing, she did a lot of interesting things regarding not only art but politics in my country, fighting for women's rights, supporting various causes, music, theater, etc... I'll keep in touch, for sure! stay cool!
