Red Kiss Fashion Show

The Red Kiss Fashion Show was organised by the Fashion Jobs corporation. The event took place in Latresne, near Bordeaux, in a castle on the top of a little hill during a sunny fall day. It was then for me the occasion to meet clothing and jewelry designers.

The sketches pinned on the walls show how the designs evolved from the designer's mind to the finished piece. According to the fabric and the comfort factor, the designer sometimes has to adapt himself and modify his design.

Two pieces really got my attention during that fashion show. The first one was the following imperial red tailor. The collar seems to lengthen the neck and we like the detail of the golden buttons.

I like the color of those designs but not the chosen fabric, especially when I look at the second one's top.
It looks unpleasant and doesn't look as good as the sketch.

The second piece that got my attention was that orange playsuit with hoodie and pockets for a casual but classy look.

Actually, this event was made pleasant by the great surroundings. The models were not all professionals and the pieces not all great but I still saw nice designs, some affordable, for instance the orange playsuit costed 80€.
However, I was a little surprised by the solemn atmosphere. i would also admitt that taking those pictures was a little difficult for me since, like I said, I'm a beginner. I still have trouble manipulating my camera quickly enough. also the light changed rapidly and the rooms of the castle became dark.
But it was a good opportunity to meet designers and talk about their sketches in order to understand a little their creation process.

  1. It looks like an interesting event. Maybe it was amateur & many things can be improved, but it's so nice to see fashion events on another cities & not only on the big capitals. I love the orange playsuit too, it's really beautiful & the price is reasonable.

  2. The event seemed really interesting, I agree those orange outfits do not look too great but I absolutely love the first dress, the pink 50s inspired one. Amazing.
