COS Bordeaux

    The fashion brand COS or Collection Of Style was launched in 2007 by swedish group H&M,  with the following goal: creating affordable pieces of high quality and great design in order to make high fashion accessible for all. There are now about 40 COS store in Europe.

  If their designs are minimalistic and pure, they don't lack volumes and manage to always be fashionable. The good point is we don't have to hide them in our wardrobe once the season is over. Indeed, their pieces are basics, so by definition timeless, and edgy ones. 

When we are mostly preoccupied about finding the perfect trench coat, COS just presented its Spring/Summer 2012 collection. We are now eager to do only one thing: see the return of the summer weather to boost our wardrobe with these designs.

The colors are cold: navy blue, pale blue, sky blue; green, pale green, gray and white. They contrast with the bold and inovative designs. Therefore, in the women collection, the pale blue softens the straight cuts of the dress and the blazer. The straight skirt is modernised thanks to a stylised pleat, the T-shirts' sleeves are wide and the shoulders are oversized to play with volumes. The shoes are minimalistic sandals with platform soles.

As for the menswear, the collection is less inventive. The blazer and the capri pants come in water green, navy bleu and sand. We like the skirt buttoned all the way rather than the collar in a saturday night fever style. But overall, the collection reflects a preppy look that Simon from British TV show Misfits would wear. Like !

But fortunately, one doesn't have to be a stifled young adult to wear the outfits from that collection. Even though the models they choose aren't the msot expressive. It allows to focus on the designs rather than the pose and the setting. 
The collection in itself can't constitute a wardrobe but has to integrate one in order to make maximise it.
